Luis Masabanda and Silvia Paredes came to the Berlin Marathon to take advantage of the flat course and facing new PB’s. During a day with perfect conditions and nationals, personals and one world record also the two Ecuadorian showed good results.
While it was for Luis still the second marathon and he is in the phase of collecting experience with every race for Silvia the goal was at the end of her career still try to push down her PB a little bit. Even she did not manage that totally she ran the second fastest Marathon Time of her career.
Luis improved by 4 min to 2:13:23 and will have a great marathon career ahead. Even a qualification through ranking for the Olympics is with another spring marathon still possible. So or so we will see him in international championships in future for sure.
